We are an NICEIC Approved Contractor and Part P registered (NICEIC Enrolment No. 602034000). By requesting a quote, making a booking or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
2. Our services
We provide electrical services including, but not limited to, EICR testing, consumer unit replacement, rewires, emergency electrical work, EV charger installation, PAT testing and fire alarm work. All work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) and applicable Part P requirements.
3. Quotes and pricing
- Prices displayed on our website (for example "EICRs from £79") are starting prices and may vary depending on property size, condition, access and the scope of work required.
- A formal quote will be provided before work begins where appropriate. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Additional work identified during a job (for example remedial works following an inspection) will be discussed and agreed with you before being carried out, where reasonably practicable.
4. Bookings and cancellations
- Bookings can be made by phone, WhatsApp, email or through our online booking system.
- Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
- We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for missed appointments or cancellations made at short notice where we have incurred costs.
5. Access and safety
You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property and the areas where work is to be carried out. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time, or if the working environment is unsafe, we may reschedule the appointment and reasonable charges may apply.
6. Payment
- Payment is due as set out in your quote or invoice.
- Certificates and reports may be issued once payment for the relevant work has been received.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts as permitted by law.
7. Guarantees and workmanship
We take pride in our workmanship and carry out all work to professional standards. Where applicable, our work may be covered by NICEIC's platform and workmanship guarantees. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied parts and equipment in line with the manufacturer's terms.
8. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. If you are a consumer and booked our services at a distance or off-premises, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days, subject to the exceptions in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (for example where you have asked us to begin urgent work immediately).
9. Liability
We maintain appropriate insurance for our work. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing faults, defects in existing installations that are outside the scope of the work instructed, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@polarityelectrics.com or 0203 908 4790 so we can put things right. As an NICEIC Approved Contractor, we also operate in line with NICEIC's complaints procedures.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you instruct us will apply to your booking.
